Hello One oh nine~!

Darlings, I would say I'm REALLY sorry that I couldn't go for the chalet, but I feel in the end... actions speak louder than words. So I'm sure ALL of us who really feel remorse about not going for this thing and showing our love for our darling class will make it up in the Nov/Dec holidays.

yeah, like my other darling classmates have said, six months left. I'm sure you want to enjoy the first year of secondary school WITH YOUR FRIENDS, so I hope you'll all show more bondedness. Or the people who are supposed to make the class more bonded will be discouraged and then we will fall apart and go our seperate ways and our memories of one oh nine will be one gaping hole! Of misery and emptiness and void! And i'm sure you don't want that, do you?

Yes, I'm always that overdramatic.

Anyway. In an attempt to make your life HAPPIER, i shall have a recs post!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! (even though if even ONE of you takes my advice i'll DIE of happiness, 109 is not a very responsive class. Feel free to prove me wrong.)

1. Koncert Wau!

I'm not sure of the exact details, but Angklung will be performing! We've put a lot of time and effort into our practice, so please come and watch us! Richard enthusiasts, Sharon, vice-cap and our darling secretary, will be conducting! And also, HASLINA will be dancing a very beautiful malay dance. (i've seen it! :DDD) In case you didn't know, it's on the 30th of June. As i'm not a malay society member, please ask your malay friends, or Ammelina or something. :P

And I shall recommend two DRAMAS!

1. Devil Beside You

Anyway. It's about a sweet, cute, innocent girl who's in love with the school basketball captain, but when she decides to gao bai, she accidentally hands her love letter to the school bully. He then proceeds to blackmail her into becoming his personal slave, by threatening to photocopy her loveletter and through copies of it down from the school top. X)

2. Hana Yori Dango
country - Japan
Language - Japanese
Episodes - Part One - 9, Part Two - 11.
Starring - Inoue Mao, Matsumoto Jun, Oguri Shun

It's about a poor girl who decides to go to a school for ~~filthy~~ rich kids. However, her determination gets her into trouble with flower four, a group of four guys with rich and influencial parents who grant them rule over the entire school. However, after punching the leader of F(lower) 4, he proceeds to unwisely FALL IN LOVE WITH HER.

Yay. Now WATCH WATCH WATCH. I'm sure you can get them off youtube.

By the way, Hana Yori Dango is MORE than a love story, okay? So it's really worth watching.

Sorry I also did not attend the gathering today but I don't think many attended anyway D= We really MUST MUST get a chalet for the nov-dec hols yeah? And hopefully the response would be more enthusiastic then more people would be encouraged to go...

And we should get a real real chalet where we can all sleep over. And have fun as a class.

hello! well. I'm posting again. well. i am pleased to announce that the LINKIN PARK CD IS FINALLY MINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Well. ~~now I have it and YOU don't~~

Regarding the chalet thing, if we cannot get then we can do the sleepover I guess but I think we should organise an outing in the day! Like let's say beach or something. Aiya dunno lah! But think about it okay?

And more people should go for the sleepover/ other activity. CLASS BONDING! Pls be more ENTHU okay? Same thing applies for the class projects we are going to take up like the class T-shirt/song/dance. It would be fun if we all participate and most fulfilling if everyone contributes [and not only a few people]!

(: (if other grps have started, then hooray to you too!!! Founders Day on saturday, you need to report to school at the usual time and dismissed at 9 am, which means you get to go home early! You need to bring your tie as it is a FORMAL occasion. Assembly is in the amphi i think.

For the CPR course, we are split into half, so sad right? anyways, your are to report in your PE attire in the hall by 8.30am, and you need to bring your pencil case. For register nos. 1-13, you are to go on the WEDNESDAY of the hols, while those who are from register nos. 14(me!!)-31 are to report in THURSDAY!!!!

Remember theres math SA tmrw, study kae, cause my fren says that it is super difficult. memorise the laws, so confusing!!*sigh*

TOMMY, our school cat, is ILL!!

He has been diagnosed with KIDNEY FAILURE.

He has since been discharged but most probably will not come back to school as he needs to be on a special diet and also needs a glucose jab every 2 days.

Well, so far, the cost of his treatment has been paid for by Mrs Christine Tan, but since he is our school cat, we should make contributions towards his medical bill!

Hello. THIS IS ESTHER LIM HERE. I notice most of you haven't been posting! this makes for a very boring class blog.

Yeah, i know there's nothing to post. Whatever.

Anyway, i want you to think about somethings. The W/os plus Lydia (who suggested it) may be bringing it up.

1. A CLASS NICKNAME.
if you check the tag board you should know. It should be something catchy lah. There are a few examples on the tag. if you guys can't think of anything then it'll be HOUSE OF THE NINERS.

2. A blogskin. One that can work on IE, Opera and Mozilla firefox, and has a nice colour scheme.

And just a sugestion. my friends from NYGH are already designing their class T-shirts, and getting them printed at Coro. Is it too early in the year for one? And yeah, there aren't much occasion to wear it... So yeah. But just to FLAUNT, you know?

(oh, lydia and i thought that since we are DYNAMITE, and the back of the t-shirt could be an exploding dynamite, our names the fireworks. If you get what i'm talking about.)

Ok, I want to save class time for discussing, so i'm just going to say some stuff here ok? To clarify. For the birthday thing, YES, we are getting an individual present for every One oh niner. So it can be actually something that you can treasure. And I know "it's the thought that counts", but to me, it's HOW MUCH thought you put inside something... Like if you just randomly bought something for the sake of buying it or really think of something you think the girl will like. That's just me. If you are ok with, i dunno, getting a bag of thirty sweets for your birthday, we'll be happy to comply. :)

Anyways, just a reminder for whoever is participating in the swim carn/ mass swim.

All Individual events 25m / 50m / 100m Competitors
1. Participants of the above events are allowed to leave their class at 12.00 noon for lunch and preparation. You must be at the pool by 1pm.
2. Please report to the pool by 1 pm for warm-up (you need 20-30 mins warm-up). All competitors are to clear the pool by 1.30pm in preparation for the start of 1st event at 1.40 pm SHARP.
3. For 50m & 100m events (Comp Pool): Report to Mr Choo Boon Hwee, the Competitors’ Steward, at 1.30pm or 2 events BEFORE the start of your event. You are not allowed to leave the Reporting Area after you have reported.
4. For 25m events (Training Pool): Report to Mr Sean Yeoh, the Competitors’ Steward, at 1.30pm. You are not allowed to leave the reporting area after you have reported.
5. All events will start promptly at 1.40 pm.
6. The PE Dept and all officials needs your co-operation to ensure that the events will be carried out according to scheduled time. Absence or reporting late will result in disqualification.
7. All individual events participants are exempted from third language class on Friday, 14/2. A letter/competitors’ list will be submitted to MOELC.

All Inter-Class Relay competitors
1. You are NOT to leave your class early IF YOU ARE NOT COMPETING IN ANY INDIVIDUAL EVENTS.
2. Just make your way to the CCAB pool after your last lesson of the day, 1.40pm.
3. Report to your Class swimming captain and Mrs Sulastiri Anis IMMEDIATELY upon reaching the pool and be seated at the pool gallery.
4. You should be ready in your swimming costume by 3.30pm at the gallery.

All Mass Swim participants
1. Please meet your House Committee members at the respective meeting venues in RGS after your lessons. They will guide you up the chartered bus/public bus to bring you to the CCAB swimming pool. (If necessary, check your House notice board for this arrangement by your house.) Each bus must be accompanied by a house teacher.
2. All Mass Swimmers are to report to the seating gallery according to their houses, and to be at the gallery in their costumes by 3.30pm.

#1. There is a change in mode of payment for the cpr/first aid course. Payment is now through EDUSAVE and not GIRO, as mentioned in the letter.
If you do not wish to pay by EDUSAVE, you can indicate on the class list (with the pe reps) and the fee will be deducted through giro.
Also, lunch will be provided that day, please indicate on the other list (with the treasurers) you choice of food, Mix veges with chicken OR vegetarian, and $3 is to be paid to the class treasurers.

#2. All swimmers who have signed up for individual events are to meet for a briefing on either Thur, 8 Feb, 3.05 pm or Mon, 12 Feb, 1.45 pm at the amphitheatre. Attendance at the briefing is necessary and will contribute to the BOH.

a) we ask the 'birthday girl' what she wants and get that for her if it does not cost too much
b) we can decide as a class what present she should get but send her our of the class first
c) we can decide as a class what present she should get when she is in class, then she can confirm if she agrees
d) we can ask her good friend(s) what she likes then get her that if it is not too ex-

Anyways, hello one-niners!!! Okay, its me again, so im just like plain bored lar.

Just to tell you all that you can bring your calculators to school cause mrs sia said that we are going to use it SOON, okay. (oh since theres math on monday then you can bring it on that day)

sigh, theres only like ONE day to do homework, which like on sunday and its also for family time!!! PLUS CCAS are starting next weeks, so all of us have to pull up our socks okay! (i mean not lke Gloria pulling her socks up today lar, but you should noe what i mean. and no offense gloria.) CCAs are mostly like until quite late (like mine is like until 6.30, which is like dinner time, OMG!) so hope we can pull through this yeah?

Just wanted to ask if we can like post photos on the blogs, like those without ppl inside or we can like cover their faces or something and what do we do for those ppl who cant like read the blog even for like those REALLY IMPORTANT announcements. I mean you can call or something lar, but what if like you cannot really contact them? (i mean this is really rare lar, but STILL...)

INTERHOUSE COVER DESIGN COMPETITION

where you can create and design your very own cover pages for two programme booklets:
a) Swim carnival
b) Sports Fest.

You can do either one, or both.

Entries must be submitted by 15th Feb, Thursday, 3.30pm in boxes outside the pe dept.

Note: If your design is approved, correct, and credible, you will get a house representation point.
